I’ve had the joy of helping clients explore some of the most breathtaking destinations along the world’s most iconic rivers. From the charming Christmas Markets in Prague to the vibrant Tulip Festival in Amsterdam, river cruises offer unparalleled access to cultural treasures and scenic landscapes. Whether you’re drifting along the majestic Danube or exploring the charming villages of the Rhine, a river cruise provides a more intimate and immersive way to experience Europe’s history, architecture, and culinary delights.
Having traveled extensively sold and traveled on these cruises, I’ve experienced firsthand the luxury and comfort offered by top-tier river cruise lines, including AmaWaterways, Viking River Cruises, and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises. One of my most memorable journeys took me through the lush beauty of the Wachau Valley, where we road bikes along the Danube and walked the quaint cobble streets of Durnstein. Another unforgettable experience was cruising the Rhone River, where Lyon is represented as the culinary capital of France. It did not disappoint! Yum! As a person obsessed with Lavender, you can imagine my sense as we toured city of Avignon and the Provence area. I had to buy a 2nd suitcase for all the treasures. A wonderful moment was in Arles as I sat with my travel companion in the dark night looking for the river in Arles. The same place Vincent Van Gogh created the famous The Rhone at Arles, Night painting.
